Lullaby Leonard Cohen

I was just listening to Lullaby and the lyrics about the mouse and cat falling in love made me smile. I believe there’s a circle dance for this one. I’ll put it on the list of ones to learn.

Here are the lyrics:

“Lullaby”

Sleep baby sleep
The day’s on the run
The wind in the trees
Is talking in tongues

If your heart is torn
I don’t wonder why
If the night is long
Here’s my lullaby
Here’s my lullaby

Well the mouse ate the crumb
Then the cat ate the crust
Now they’ve fallen in love
They’re talking in tongues

If your heart is torn
I don’t wonder why
If the night is long
Here’s my lullaby
Here’s my lullaby

Sleep baby sleep
There’s a morning to come
The wind in the trees
They’re talking in tongues

And here’s a video with music:
The steps from Jane look pretty straightforward – but the trick is to put the steps to the music! I’ll look forward to dancing this with someone who’s done it before.
