Winds on the Tor — all over the world!

The Findhorn classic. Choreographed by the Glastonbury Circle.

There are many songs that you can dance this to, including (gasp!) Waltzing with Bears and almost any waltz-song, such as “Gathered Here” and “Wake Now My Senses” from the Unitarian songbook, Singing the Living Tradition.

Here’s a great video of groups all over the world dancing on the first World Circle Dance Day in July,  2016.

I like dancing it with scarves rather than holding hands. When we say, “There are no wrong steps, only variations,” that is true more when there is no hand holding. But mainly I love waving scarves in the air.

Here’s a lovely scarf flinging video.

The Manitoba circle dance group have done this.
